One last thing, enemies can damage each other. With the Bat Bead you will gain health with every hit so you will always be gaining life somehow while fighting (Spiritdish Magic/Health drops/Leech-life) and that's the most important thing in Samurai. There is a slight delay between attacks where you can be hit. (You do need to defeat him and complete the level for the gold to count).Ībove all else, remember that the Cleaver Y-X combo will not make you invincible even though you can avoid most attacks while using it.

You will keep all the gold you earned previously and he will be at full health again. If by chance you're about to kill him, purposely die and restart from checkpoint. You can farm zombies from it as much as you want. If you're worried about gold equip the Money Bead, go to Lunar Wastes on Ninja/Samurai and rush to Goreface. On most levels, If you use up all, or most of your items, backtrack to where you saw the shopbot and purchase items, this will make things easier in the long run. I believe there isn't any in the last two levels. The easier enemies will spawn first, enabling you to take them out and focus on the harder ones last.Īnother thing is that some levels do not have a shopbot to purchase items from. If you die so many times in an area the spawning will change (or so it seems).

You do not want to waste items in Samurai. You start with whatever health you entered an area with, (sometimes you get full rejuv) so if you haven't done as good as you want in an area (without using healing items) die purposely, restart from checkpoint and have another go. Only use it if you're about to die, do not spam more than one at a time otherwise you'll be wasting them at any moment you could find an enemy drops health (from the Heart Bead) so then you'll have less skulls to bail yourself out someother time (unless you pick up one from an enemy).Ĭheckpointing you can use to your advantage also. This will save you everytime you're close to death. I cannot stress enough that Dishmagic is ONLY to be used for the Spritdish (I think it's called that, terrible memory. You have the Spec-ops (which are pretty easy) but then Sharkrobots I believe, which take off most of your health if they land on you and become a royal pain with their rockets. The worst part about 'Swordmaster' is the enemies that spawn. I noticed both bosses blocking slightly less but not enough to make them easy fights. (Rockets fired from bots do cause the majority of the damage in the fight, that's why you use the Rocket Bead here)Īs for 'The Symbiotic Swordmaster' (Not 100% on the name) and 'The Fallen Engineer', they block your attacks almost constantly. You will basically be cutting through 'The Goalie' from one side to another and he will have a hard time hitting you, or so he did me. You can easily Y attack left or right, move your analog stick to the opposite side and push X. The Rockets being shot at you on 'The Goalie' boss battle is the most annoying part of that fight.

The reason is that in each of the levels the bosses have elements that make them harder, so by using certain beads you can weaken them in some ways. You replace the Heart Bead on all above occassions (Heart is useless unless killing normal enemies). The others are used only in particular places.Įye - Aqua Marina, Justice Summit and The Stagnant Nightmare. It's still a pretty long list but for around 95% of the game you will only be using: Heart (or Skull) (Increased Health/Skull drops) Rocket (Rocket Damage Is Slightly Decreased) Rather than the pick&mix list above, I would suggest using the following beads: Some parts in the game are pretty hard but the Y-X Cleaver Combo rips enemies in two.
